![]() ![]() The general gameplay was fine but nothing exceptional. The map cards and the exploration book were wonderful. As much fun as it is to have a game that "spreads out" and takes over your table, the gameplay has to justify it. I love huge games, but I do see this issue. At this point in my gamer career, I'm looking for more streamlined games that take up less shelf space. Sad to say, but my shelf space is at a premium. But I think that is the formula for a successful Kickstarter campaign. It's boxes and boxes of extras and content that nobody will ever use. I also think their Kickstarters are way too bloated. The Great Wall is the game that finally pushed me over the edge to make me decide this wasn't the company for me. I really struggle with their games in general. And their rule books can be very hard for me to grasp concepts. The mechanisms are not fluid or intuitive in my mind. Their games are usually too fiddly for me. Unfortunately, I haven't had the same luck with Awakened Realms. Glad you found a company that makes stuff you like! Keep supporting them, and I'm sure they'll keep making things that keep you passionate about the hobby! r/tabletopgamedesign - Designer's subreddit.r/boardgameexchange - selling/buying/trading games.Game of the Week Calendar Related Sites & Subreddits The simplest use is to bold game names in your comment and add " /u/r2d8 getinfo" at the end of the post, but this post/sub has other features identified.
